Giving Assembly-
It’s collection time! This year’s Giving Assembly will be held on Tuesday, November 26 at 9:30a.m. Your donations will be delivered to local charities serving the Greater St. Louis Area--the Family Shelter of the Salvation Army, KidSmart, Crisis Nursery, and Trinity Food Pantry. Please send your donations of canned goods, books and school supplies, gently used clothing, baby supplies, and toys to school with your children November 18-25. Adult volunteers are needed those mornings from 8:45-9:30a.m. to assist with sorting and boxing the donations. Please contact Michelle Hawkins with questions (993-5090 or hawkins.shell@gmail.com). This is an OBPTO sponsored activity.
OB Book Study
It’s not too late to join the book study on RULES by Cynthia Lord. You can subscribe to the blog and get up-to-date information by clicking here http:// bit.ly/OBbookblog. We will post fun and quick activities that are designed to be completed during a family meal. Be looking for more information in the next OB News. Our goal is to wrap up the book study by December 13.

We are excited to announce that OB's
November SOAR Recognition Event will be professional storytelling by Mr. Schlamb! For 15 SOAR tickets, students will have the opportunity to attend this fun event taking place at the end of November (specific date and times to be announced soon). OB Wall of Honor
Veteran's Day is Monday, November 11 and we want to honor the veterans in your life. Please complete the attached star and return to school by Thursday, November 14. The stars will be displayed on our OB Wall of Honor.
Teacher of the year-
On Sunday, Mrs. Humphrey will be one of 103 teachers from the St. Louis metropolitan area honored at the Emerson Excellence in Teaching Awards Ceremony. As the District's 2013 Teacher of the Year, she will be representing our wonderful teaching staff. Congratulations, Mrs. Humphrey!
