OB's Got Character!
We look forward to seeing everyone on Tuesday, November 18, at 7pm, at LHWHS, for an extraordinary performance of Metro Theater's play, UnSorted. Please plan to bring along your entire family, and encourage your neighbors to attend (even if they don't have students attending any of the Ladue Schools). The play is a great conversation starter for all ages as our community talks about issues of race, diversity, and civil disobedience. This play ends its tour at the end of November, so this will be your last opportunity to see it. We hope you will consider stepping into the "mixety" world of UnSorted with us while you still can! It truly is the SORT of experience you won't want to miss out on!Thank you in advance for helping to spread the word, and we hope to see all of you there. Giving Assembly
It is collection time!! This is an opportunity for OB Families to donate canned goods, books, household, school supplies, gently used clothing, baby supplies and toys. Your donations will be delivered to local charities serving the Greater St. Louis Area— Please send your donations to school November 17-24. Adult volunteers are also needed those mornings from 8:45-9:30a.m. to assist with sorting and boxing the donations. By now you should have seen a volunteer sign-up sheet in your child’s backpack. If you missed it or have any other questions, please feel free to contact Stephanie Carpenter at stef.carpenter@gmail.com, or Suzanne Epstein- Lang at s.e.lang@sbcglobal.net. The nurse is in need of gently used clothes for the clinic, especially boy's pants and girl's shirts. If your child has outgrown some clothes recently and you would like to donate them, feel free to drop them off in the clinic.
Lost and Found
With the weather turning colder outside, students will be wearing warm coats and accessories to school each day. Did you know the Character Council group who oversees the Lost and Found at Old Bonhomme routinely matches labeled times to their owners? In fact, when items are labeled with your child's last name, they are able to deliver them directly to your child's classroom! Are all of your child's coats/accessories labeled with their last name? If not, please take a moment to do so, to help ensure the Character Council Lost and Found Committee is able to return lost items to your child. Thank you!
