OB Giving Assembly
In the spirit of community and compassion that defines Old Bonhomme School, we invite you to participate in the 30th Annual Giving Assembly. This year’s Giving Assembly will be held on November 25 at 9:30a.m. This is an opportunity for OB Families to donate canned goods, books supplies, gently used clothing, baby supplies and toys to local charities such as Family Haven (a shelter of the Salvation Army), KidSmart, Crisis Nursery, and Trinity Food Panty. Especially needed donations this year include canned chicken, low sodium vegetables, powdered milk, macaroni and cheese, school supplies, children’s new underwear and socks, and diapers of all sizes. Please send your donations to school with your student on November 17-24. Adult volunteers are needed those mornings from 8:45-9:30a.m. to assist with sorting and boxing the donations. Volunteer sign-up sheets went home in backpacks last week. Thank you in advance for your time and efforts! If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact Stephanie Carpenter at stef.carpenter@gmail.com, or Suzanne Epstein- Lang at s.e.lang@sbcglobal.net. This is an OBPTO sponsored event.
Thank You
A big OBPTO thank you to Suzanne Epstein- Lang and Anne Leidenfrost and their Teacher Appreciation Committee for two great dinners for the OB Staff on the conference nights. They really "hit it out of the park!"
Thank you also to our Room Parent Coordinator, Scottie Eastman, and all of our room parents for planning such festive Fall Parties last week!
Operation Outreach
Old Bonhomme is collecting new or gently used outerwear (hats, gloves, mittens, and scarves) for Riverview Gardens School District. Donations can be dropped off outside the library starting Monday, November 3, and ending Monday, November 24. This outreach will benefit the K-12 students of the Riverview Gardens School District, and will NOT replace our Annual Giving Assembly which will begin collecting on Monday, November 17. If you have any questions re: Operation Outreach please contact Mrs. Butz at sbutz@ladueschools.net.
LEF NEWS
October was a big month for the Ladue Education Foundation!
Thanks to our Ladue School District parents, educators and sponsors, the LEF held another successful Community Breakfast and ‘Due Run 4 Education, raising funds to support the excellence of the district.
The 8th Annual Community Breakfast was especially successful, thanks to the generous presenting sponsors: Morgan Stanley, Kurt Jaeger, Robert Millner and Michael Karasick, and the Das Family Foundation. The event provided an opportunity for guests to hear All- Star Teacher Hank Kauffman speak, as well as

to learn from students how LEF grants have impacted them.
The 2nd Annual ‘Due Run was presented by Stifel and the Ladue Horton Watkins High School Class of 1994 in memory of classmate and Navy Seal Will Bushelle. A special thanks to the many Class of ’94 members who donated and participated.

Finally, a unique and successful fundraiser provided by Artistic Soup Photography gave families an opportunity to have portraits taken by photographer Angela Lamb while raising over $2,300 for the LEF. We are extremely grateful to Angela for her creative way of contributing to the education of our kids, and we welcome other ideas from the community!
As always, the LEF encourages you to learn more, get involved and consider making a donation through the website http://laduefoundation.org/wordpress/donate/. Thank you for helping the LEF provide extraordinary opportunities to the students of our district!
