Veteran's Day
This year Old Bonhomme Elementary wants to collaborate with you to create a tribute for our Veterans. We want you to create a slide with the name of the person you know who served in the military, what branch they served in, the student's name they are related to, how they are related, and a picture of the person who served. Click here to see what we have so far and add your information to a new slide. If you don't know how to create a slide, send the information to harnold@ladueschools.net and we will submit the slide for you. Ms. Ladue has been working with the show choir on a special song to go along with our slide show. We will plan on sending out the final product on or before Veteran's day. Be sure to wear red, white, and blue on November 11 and help celebrate our Veterans!
Parent Advisory Town Hall Meeting
Make plans to collaborate with others at the Parent Advisory Town Hall Meeting on Tuesday, November 17, at 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the library. You will have the opportunity to offer feedback to the Character Education, Counseling, PBIS, Olweus, PTO, and Safety committees. We look forward to working with you to make OB an even better place!
OB's Got Character
As the weather begins turning colder outside, students will begin to wear warm coats/ accessories to school each day. Did you know there is a Character Council group who oversees the Lost and Found at Old Bonhomme? They routinely match labeled times to their owners :) In fact, when items are labeled with your child's last name, they are able to deliver them directly to your child's classroom! Are all of your child's coats/ accessories labeled with their last name on them? If not, please take a moment to do so to help ensure the Character Council Lost and Found Committee is able to return lost items to your child. Thank you!

Thank You
Thank you so much to all the volunteers, parents, teachers and staff for making Rock 'n Bowl for Bonhomme a very successful event to benefit our school. We raised close to $20,000. We are so thankful for our OB Community!
Also, thank you to Suzanne Epstein-Lang and Anne Leidenfrost for coordinating the delicious dinners during Parent-Teacher Conferences. As well as all the parents that contributed the yummy desserts. They were much appreciated!
Bus Lane Safety Reminder
Parents, you may have noticed the chain blocking the bus lane during student drop-off and pick up. This is done for the safety of our students to prevent students from being dropped off in between buses etc. as this has become an issue recently. Once the buses have left a staff member will remove the chain and parents can use the front circle for student drop-off and pick-up with the understanding that students should ONLY be let out at the sidewalk and not in the middle of the road/driveway. Thank you for you understanding as we work to keep our students safe.
