Artsonia Parent Permission
OB artists are beginning to use an online digital portfolio called Artsonia (we have only some of our artwork posted to date). Please fill out the form here so you may access your students portfolio. Artsonia will notify you when your artist has new work added to the portfolio. There are many benefits to digital portfolios: you may comment on your artists' work, send the log in information to other family members near and far so they too can see and comment on your artists work, there is a gift shop to purchase items with any image from your artists' portfolio, art contests, awards and more! Go to www.artsonia.com and type in Old Bonhomme Elementary in the school search bar and explore the site. Thank you for your support of the art program!! Love, Mrs. Roth

Veteran's Day
This year Old Bonhomme Elementary wants to collaborate with you to create a tribute for our Veterans. We want you to create a slide with the name of the person you know who served in the military, what branch they served in, the student's name they are related to, how they are related, and a picture of the person who served. Click here to see what we have so far and add your information to a new slide. If you don't know how to create a slide, send the information to harnold@ladueschools.net and we will submit the slide for you. Ms. Ladue has been working with the show choir on a special song to go along with our slide show. We will plan on sending out the final product on or before Veteran's day. Be sure to wear red, white, and blue on November 11 and help celebrate our Veterans!
OB's Got Character
Be sure to ask your child(ren) to share with you all about OB's first Class Buddy Time! The focus of the lesson was on SMILING. Students met/ mingled with fellow students in their buddy class(es) to learn about the origin of the smiley face and be introduced to/practice Choosing To Be Nice by smiling when they meet/greet and see others. Please consider clicking on the link to view the video shared during Buddy Time. After viewing the video students interacted with a Mix, Freeze & Pair/Share activity, then gathered as a large group to share what they learned. Ask us to share with you something we learned! Music playing over the speaker (Louis Armstrong - When You're Smiling) signaled it was time to line up and head back to
class. Smiling and waving silently while passing others in the hallway was highly encouraged :) Ask us to demonstrate a smile while also silently waving! Students were also given a special smiley face clay art piece to serve as a reminder to spread kindness by smiling. Please consider finding a special place to display the smiley face to serve as a reminder at home to smile and spread kindness! The smiley clay pieces were kindly created by 2K, 3A, 3K and 3P during their art classes with Mrs. Roth. We are looking forward to our next Class Buddy Time in November.
