Giving Assembly
Thank you to Suzanne Epstein-Lang, Stephanie Carpenter, their team of fourth graders, Coach Jander, Señor Martin, and the numerous parent volunteers that helped collect and distribute all of the donations for the Giving Assembly. We collected over 3,000 cans for Trinity Food Pantry and completely stuffed the van (and the stage!) with donations for both the Food Pantry and Family Haven. Plus, we took 4 van loads to the Crisis Nursery. Thank you Old Bonhomme Families for your generosity!
NAACP to Host Second Ladue Schools Town Hall Meeting on Monday, Dec. 5
On Monday, Dec. 5, the St. Louis County NAACP will be hosting its second Town Hall Meeting to continue to facilitate discussions for residents, staff members and alumni of the Ladue School District. The meeting will take place from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at The Ethical Society of St. Louis, located at 9001 Clayton Road, St. Louis, MO 63117.
This is a follow-up to the Town Hall Meeting held on Nov. 23, as many were not able to attend due to the Thanksgiving holiday.
Jeff Small, former news anchor and current eLittle Communications Group consultant, will facilitate the conversation which is taking place for the purpose of providing a forum for Ladue School District residents and staff to share their thoughts and feelings about race relations in the district. Parents, students, alumni and district employees are specifically encouraged to attend. Those interested in speaking will be allowed to do so within enforced time limits.
John Gaskin III, an alumnus of Ladue Horton Watkins High School and a member of the national NAACP board, is coordinating this opportunity with support from the Ladue School District Board of Education and administration. Seating will be

CURE is a committee of Ladue parents/guardians of African American students that meets four times a year. Their meeting has been rescheduled from December 5 to Wednesday, December 7 so interested parents can participate in the 2nd Ladue Town Hall meeting on Monday, Dec. 5. The CURE meeting will take place in the High School Library from 6:30-8 p.m.

We have two new hires joining the Old Bonhomme team. Ms. Kristine Carey joined us as a Part-time Counselor on Dec. 1. She has extensive counseling experience and is currently working in the Crystal City Schools where she'll continue part-time. Mrs. Aida Greenberg will be joining us part time in the shared ESL TA role with Spoede. Mrs. Greenberg is a retired ESL Teacher from the Pattonville School District who also happens to be an Olivette resident and parent of two Old Bonhomme alumni.

I am excited to join the Old Bonhomme educational team in the counseling department. In 2006, I earned a Masters in Counseling with a School Endorsement at Truman State University and have been working as a school counselor ever since. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to work with students in the Department of Defense Dependent Schools in Bamberg, Germany, a K-12 school in northwest Missouri, and a K-8 building in Jefferson County. I love learning and working with children-- they teach me so much everyday! Currently, I have also returned to school to complete a Certificate in Play Therapy. This Thanksgiving I am thankful for the opportunity to bring myself, my experiences, and my ever-evolving skill set to Old Bonhomme to work with the staff and students!

Elementary is a time for students to become aware of different careers. The week of January 25, we are looking for parents and/or grandparents to come in and present about their career. You can sign up to present in your child's classroom or another classroom. If this time of year does not work out for you there will be another opportunity in April. cough-drops
vaseline

chapsticks
Collection bins will be in the front hall!
We will stuff socks full of hygiene products for the homeless on January 16. (more details to come) Note: this event will take the place of our former Socks and Sandwiches event. Sadly homeless shelters are no longer accepting sandwiches.
