SOCKS AND SANDWICHES EVENT
This year we gathered once again in the cafeteria on Martin Luther King Jr. Day to do community service together. As many of you know Mrs. King requested that his day be a day of service to others, not a day of rest. Our community is so amazing, we always rise to meet challenges!
This year we made 981 sandwiches and collected 621 pairs of socks for area homeless shelters in less than 30 minutes!
Our next challenge is ahead. The homeless shelters are no longer requesting sandwiches for various reasons but still need our support. The Diversity Committee is looking for another hands-on project to help the community on Dr. King's Day.
If you have ideas for ways our families can be involved together please send ideas to
Tammy Maclean, Jill Wright or Lisa Roth. tmaclean@ladueschools.net, jwright@ladueschools.net, lroth@ladueschools.net
Check out the flipagram from our annual Socks & Sandwiches event.
KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION
If you have a child that will be 5 years old before August 1, 2016, please contact Mrs. Dunkle in the school office to set up an appointment for a kindergarten screening, or call (314) 983-KIDS. Screenings will begin in February and spaces are filling up, so please call and book yours today. Also, help us get the word out to your friends and neighbors who have little ones that will be starting school in the Fall!
