Candy Donation
After Halloween, do you still have Halloween candy around your house? Are you thinking that you have had enough, but don't want it to go to waste? Are you aware that there are children that don't get to go trick-or-treating and would love a few treats? We have a solution! Bring any unopened candy to the school office by Wednesday, November 4. All candy will be boxed up and taken to the local Ronald McDonald House for other children and families in our community to enjoy.
Please do not buy any candy for this activity. Save that money to buy real food for our Thanksgiving drive! Any questions please contact Ms. Boudinet at dboudinet@ladueschools.net

Community Survey Begins October 23
Survey to measure the community’s overall satisfaction with the district
and level of support for a potential high school renovation project.

Beginning on October 23, 2015, a comprehensive telephone survey will begin with the purpose of determining Ladue School District residents’ satisfaction with the district, as well as their thoughts about, and support for, a potential high school renovation. The calls will be placed from 7 -‐ 9 p.m. on weekday nights and from noon to 6 p.m. on Saturdays. They are anticipated to take less than 15 minutes to complete.
Patron Insight, Inc., a Kansas City-‐based market research organization, has performed the last two community surveys done by the Ladue School District and has worked with school districts across the Midwest on similar research since 1992. Calls will be placed from Kansas City, Missouri (area code 816) and Kansas City, Kansas (area code 913) to both landlines and cell phones. (Caller ID may display “Market Research Associates.”) Calling will continue until 600 calls reWlecting a representative cross-‐ section of the community have been completed.
“We conduct these surveys every few years,” explains Superintendent Dr. Donna Jahnke. “They provide us with incredibly valuable information about how our community perceives our performance, where they get information about our district, and how they feel about speciWic issues. This time we will speciWically be asking our residents about their thoughts about a potential high school renovation. We have been researching this initiative and sharing information with our community on this topic for almost two years now. We look forward to learning how they feel about it.”
Information about the district’s perceived performance will be compared against data gathered in previous surveys to see what areas have improved, and which may need additional effort. In addition, the information gathered about the high school renovation initiative will be used by the Ladue Schools Board of Education to assist in determining whether to move forward with a bond referendum request for a high school renovation on the April 5,
2016 ballot. Information about this initiative can be found at www.ladueschools.net/highschoolrenovation
Participants for the telephone survey will be selected totally at random, and all responses will be kept completely conWidential. If called, residents are encouraged to candidly share their thoughts.
Residents who are not called to complete the phone survey,
can also share their thoughts by answering the same questions online.

The online survey will be available from October 23 to November 13, 2015. “The data gathered from the online survey will not provide statistically valid results in the way the telephone survey does,” explains the district’s communication director, Susan Downing. “However, it does provide us with valuable information and will also be reviewed by the Board of Education and administration.”
