OB's Got Character!
It's time for Old Bonhomme's Character Council 2015-2016 to get underway! Character Council is comprised of third and fourth grade students who participate in different activities throughout the year to promote good character to everyone in our building. This is a SOARiffic way for students to develop their leadership skills and give back to our school. If you have a third and/or fourth grade student, please consider talking with them about this opportunity!Click on the link: Character Council Application to go directly to the online application. Interested students should fill out the application and submit it by Wednesday, October 7.

Wednesday, October 7 is Walk to School Day. International Walk to School Day is a global event that involves communities from more than 40 countries walking and biking to school on the same day. It began in 1997 as a one-day event. Over time, this event has become part of a movement for year-round safe routes to school and a celebration – with record breaking participation – each October. Today, thousands of schools across America – from all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico – participate every October.
Bringing Literacy Into the Home
Ladue Early Childhood Center is looking for the following books in English or Spanish (new or gently used) to donate to families in the community to help build a library in their home. (Good Night Moon, Pete the Cat: I love my White Shoes, Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, The Crayon Box That Talked, Click, Clack, Moo, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, The Little Engine that Could, Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus, Brown Bear Brown Bear What do you see?, The Kissing Hand, Skippyjon Jones, My Very First Mother Goose, Rainbow Fish, Good Night Good Night Construction Site) Please drop off your books at any school during the month of October. There will be a box available in the office for collection. These books will be given to children monthly to allow opportunities to read together as a family. with your help, we can make a difference in the lives of families!
